026267 Sales Representative - Recycling Services (Open)Job Description:
As a Sales Representative, you will spend your day retaining existing vendor relationships and generating new leads for scrap paper recovery at their respective plant. We are looking for a creative, outgoing person to fill this position. Performing Waste Audits and identifying opportunities are key. It is a salary-based position with multiple incentive opportunities. There is a 4-week training process before representatives are put in the field.
Greif’s Recycling Services Group takes extreme pride in being an integral contributor to preserving the environment. Our paper recycling centers and 100% recycled paperboard mills collect over 3.0 million tons per year of all grades of paper, paperboard, and pulp. Our fiber recycling centers receive, sort, bale, and distribute fiber to domestic and international customers. Local Travel required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and implements marketing strategies and conducts research.
- Makes outgoing cold calls to gain new clients and develop or maintain good working relationships with new or existing vendors/customers.
- Identifies potential leads and schedules sales appointments / Follows up with incoming leads
- Creates and modifies proposals / Reviews contractual agreements
- Achieve minimum volume development targets within an established timeframe
- Monitors vendor-related expenditures and recommends opportunities to increase margins
- Conveys proper information between facilities and vendors.
- Meets with Manager for review of sales, activities, and prospective customers /Utilizes the company’s Contact Relationship Management CRM tool on a daily basis.
- Develops and maintains an awareness of market trends and competition behaviors
- Resolves accounting and financial issues / Maintains accurate records for brokerage and billing purposes.
- Provides solutions to vendor-related issues/Resolve scheduling and logistics issues/Convey proper information between facilities and vendors.
- Maintain accurate records for brokerage and billing purposes.
- Ensures a safe and healthy workplace.
- Comply in all respect with the provisions of the Greif Standards of Business Conduct Policy.
Education and Experience
- Typically possesses a Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience.
Knowledge and Skills
- Possesses basic experience in sales and marketing. Manufacturing sales experience a plus.
- Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills.
- Possesses solid analytical skills.
- Ability to perform cold customer calls and follow up on leads.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and any other relevant software.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills.
- Travel may be required.
