About the Job
We are seeking a Sales Representative to create and expand sales within Florida. As a Sales Representative, you are key in the growth and development of new and existing customer relationships. You’ll also be a bridge between customers and our engineering team with a focus on facilitating a smooth buying process for each customer. Responsibilities of a Sales Representative Include:
- Increase the awareness and acceptance of Steel Construction Systems products
- Track and report on upcoming projects requiring steel framing in an effort to gain approval and provide job leads to local distribution yards and their customer
- Increase our product base with items that increase the usage of steel and enhance our profit
- Establish and maintain market pricing for steel framing products for stock orders as well as special price for major project quotations
- Keep distributor and contractor up to date on product information in areas of changing technology and material specifications
- Support credit department personnel in areas of account receivable
- Intervene in areas to avoid and /or resolve customer problems and complaints
- Ensure all conduct is in an utmost professional manner which best reflects upon the Steel Construction System organization
- Provide pertinent, timely and accurate information to management and customers
- Distributor, contractor and job site visits required
Physical Requirements of a Sales Representative Include:
- Capability to work extended hours as needed – especially early morning hours and occasional weekends
- Must be able to communicate professionally with customers, contractors and fellow employees
- Travel is required
- Ability to walk around job sites and offices safely

- Increase the awareness of Steel-Con and the products we sell
- All Sales and volume budgets are met
- Increase the contractor contact list to use to pull through to the distributor
