Summary:The Sleep Coach is responsible for providing expert support to the sales organization by acting as a brand expert and champion in the field. This role involves facilitating high-level product knowledge and professional development classes for employees at all levels at our retail partner stores and summits. The Sleep Coach serves as a brand ambassador at B2B and B2C events, hosts virtual education classes through BGTV, and maintains up-to-date product knowledge to ensure the highest level of expertise.
Essential Functions (include but not limited to):
Product Training & Education:
- Conduct high-level sales training seminars for retail sales associates at partner stores, accommodating group sizes up to 50+ individuals in both classroom and individual formats.
- Follow up with one-on-one hands-on training, sparring, and coaching to reinforce learning and product knowledge.
- Deliver effective, inspiring presentations in person and via BGTV or local media outlets.
Brand Representation:
- Act as a brand ambassador at company tradeshows and marketing events to promote awareness of the company and its products.
- Collaborate with independent sales reps and sales management to create a cohesive presentation and convey a consistent brand message at the retail level.
Program Development & Maintenance:
- Continuously monitor, assess, and update training programs and processes to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
- Maintain detailed call reports and provide performance feedback from store visits.
Merchandising & Compliance:
- Conduct visual merchandising compliance reviews during store visits and events, taking pictures of POP/Display items, providing recommendations, and evaluating competition floor space.
- Identify opportunities for marketing collateral placement and provide insights to account management and sales managers.
- Update SharePoint with reports and observations after store visits.
Onboarding & Continuous Learning:
- Assist in the onboarding of new employees, providing comprehensive training and support.
- Create recorded training sessions for continued or refresher education classes.
- Relay training opportunities and field observations to the VP - Player Development.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- HS Diploma or GED
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify
- English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
- Must have home office with personal laptop
- Must be willing to participate in a bring your own device (BYOD) cell-phone program (stipend provided)
- Must have dependable personal vehicle with credible insurance coverage and valid driver’s license
- Computer savvy; proficient with Microsoft Office
- Must have a valid passport for travel outside of territory as needed
- Travel required at least 75% of time
- Ability and willingness to work weekends and major retail holidays
Sensory Requirements: Should have working use of hearing and vision with or without the use of corrective lenses/hearing aids to be able to read paperwork, work on a computer screen for an extended period, and frequently speak on the phone and in person.
Environmental: Exposure to various environments during travel to/from different sites however work is generally performed indoors at home office or within retail stores.
Education/Experience/License Requirements:
- Over 3 years of experience delivering dynamic and effective marketing and sales presentations to diverse group sizes.
- A clean and valid driver’s license is required.
- Experience in the home furnishings or retail mattress industry is highly preferred, though not mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to work remotely and independently as needed.
- Experience in teaching sales techniques to others.
- Proven track record of building strong, meaningful relationships with key influencers.
Language Skills: English Proficiency - Superb diction
Mathematical Skills: Basic Arithmetic, algebra, and retail math
Reasoning Ability: Wide latitude for independent judgment. Must be able to prioritize and plan workload/travel efficiently for time and money saving. Must be able to identify audience and adjust training techniques to accommodate cultural, environmental, or any other variable to provide a clear and consistent message. Must be a self-starter that can work independently but also work in a team.
Work Environment: Fast-paced. Requires high-energy. Requires teamwork and constant communication between multiple parties. Must be flexible and possess the ability to adapt to change if necessary.
