Job Summary
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Digital Marketing, the Sr. Manager, Salesforce Marketing Cloud will serve as the lead in the development, communication and implementation of email and marketing; automation best practices across AIA’s product; and member strategy and manage the Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Job Duties:
- Collaboratively develops and executes strategic integrated marketing campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud in close partnership with marketing team to drive revenue and customer engagement.
- Acts as a primary point of contact in Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform and campaign management.
- Owns AIA email marketing operations for day-to-day deployment, maintenance and execution including full organizational email calendar for deployment while maintaining optimal campaign quality, and adhering to evolving best practices
- Manage Salesforce Marketing Cloud instance, including streamlining lead forms, creating campaigns and journeys, drip campaigns, nurture flows, data hygiene etc.
- Creates and directs the organizational email calendar, managing and communicating processes, deadlines, and results.
- Partner with Marketing team on creation of holistic customer engagement plans that leverage suite of marketing automation tools throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Lead data strategy, modeling and insights as it relates to SFMC on customer strategy, sizing, and segmentation, as well as the creation, execution, testing, reporting, analysis and optimization of email campaigns/ marketing automation platforms.
- Conceptual understanding, to be able to establish data models, work with API’s and configurations.
- Ensure quality leads are routed through Salesforce & Marketing Cloud and notifications are sent to the sales team, increasing efficiencies and conversion rates
- Manage portfolio of work, prioritization, and project timelines across internal and external partners, ensuring all activities occur as planned and that campaigns are executed on time, from scheduling to design, production and distribution.
- Works closely across full marketing team, namely digital marketing team to develop, manage and execute an omni-channel marketing approach across all owned channels.
- Create strategic alignment and vision for how work is being executed, establish project milestones, coordinate with stakeholders to deliver on time, and proactively flag risks or roadblocks.
- Cultivate a test and learn culture, leading the sharing of insights and best practices across teams.
- Develop a cadence around evaluating KPI's in SFMC for measuring success against organizational goals and work closely across teams to regularly optimize strategies and tactics, including regularly presenting to relevant team stakeholders on campaign performance whenever necessary.
- Actively drive, organize, and participate in key enhancements for marketing automation, demand gen, and email tools.
- Troubleshoot and QA campaigns, workflows, data issues, and other key marketing ops functions.
- Provide ongoing thought-leadership and needed knowledge share across teams as necessary.
- Encourages a highly collaborative culture, practicing regular communication with colleagues across the marketing team in order to ensure campaign success.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to inform marketing strategies, while also staying up to date on any relevant certifications to help enhance job performance
- As directed by the Sr. Director, Digital Marketing manages consistency of code across all electronic messaging, ensuring a similar look and feel for Internal and external messages in-line with branding
- Supports continuous improvement of the AIA’S email programs including targeting, personalization, testing, set-up and template development in collaboration with multiple stakeholders: development teams, designers, business units and more.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in a SFMC focused role with proven skill sets that align with the role, knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Advanced familiarity with marketing automation strategy, customer segmentation and data governance
- Experience developing rule-based logic and email templates that integrate personalized dynamic content elements
- Strong understanding of CRM best practices and processes
- Process and quality-oriented with sharp attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities; strong project management skills.
Analytical problem solver who can clearly identify, analyze, and resolve issues as they arise - Exceptional communication, facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- A self-starter, capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Highly efficient team player, with the ability to also work independently

- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification a plus
- Core competency in core SFMC modules such as Email Studio, Advertising Studio, and Journey Builder
- HTML/CSS skills and experience with HTML editor tools, Email Coding, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop a plus
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing, communications, or related field and 5-7 years’ experience managing Salesforce Marketing Cloud operations.
