Salt Delivery / Service Technician - Atlantic Filter an A. O. Smith Company

This position will be based out of our A.O. Smith Water Treatment location in West Palm Beach, FL. Atlantic Filter is the retail center that provides water treatment solutions in the west side of Florida for A.O. Smith.  

The Technical Service/Salt Delivery position services water treatment equipment and delivers media to facilities and homeowners. Customers are general contractors, service professionals, facility maintenance personnel, architects, engineers and other professionals responsible for ensuring equipment is ordered, installed, maintained, and functional. Technical Service Specialists work to assist callers in repair rather than replacing equipment. Product specific paid training is provided. The liability to provide top quality technical support is much greater due to the product’s capacity, the environment that it is in, and the type of questions asked.

• Complete Maintenance and repairs on residential and commercial water treatment equipment
• Deliver salt to both residential and commercial customers
• Maintain customer relationships and provide answers during the course of service calls and salt deliveries
• Provide written and verbal reports of service calls that incorporate the complete understanding of a Water System
• Communicate with management, sales and customer service to resolve customer complaints
• Travel in company vehicle in order to support and maintain service area
• Maintain service vehicle inventory
• Take in salt deliveries and unload into warehouse via forklift
• Understanding of CRM scheduling and MAS sales order entry
• Removal of rental equipment when needed
• Basic shop duties such as cleaning and building maintenance
• Provide assistance to other departments as needed
• Perform any other activities as needed or as directed

• Ability to repetitively lift 50 lbs
• Plumbing/Mechanical related experience preferred, but not required
• 3 years customer service experience.
