We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Sanitation Manager for our rapidly expanding food manufacturing facility. This pivotal role will oversee all aspects of our sanitation operations, ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our production areas in compliance with all health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will be a driven self-starter with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of sanitation standards in a food manufacturing setting. Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive sanitation programs and procedures to maintain a clean and safe manufacturing environment.
2. Operate and maintain sanitation equipment to ensure optimal performance and adherence to sanitation standards.
3. Conduct regular audits and inspections of the facility to identify potential sanitation issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
4. Train and supervise sanitation staff, ensuring they are fully versed in all cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
5. Collaborate with other department managers to develop cross-functional sanitation strategies and initiatives.
6. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, as well as GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
7. Respond promptly and effectively to any sanitation emergencies or outbreaks, coordinating the appropriate response and remediation efforts.
8. Stay abreast of the latest developments in sanitation technology and regulations, applying this knowledge to improve our sanitation practices.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a sanitation management role within the food manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience operating and maintaining sanitation equipment.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of sanitation standards and compliance requirements in a food manufacturing setting.
4. Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including GMPs.
5. Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to train and supervise a team.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to sanitation emergencies.
7. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff at all levels of the organization.
8. A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in a manufacturing environment.
9. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as industrial hygiene or environmental health, would be an advantage.
