The US Oncology Network is looking for a Scheduling Supervisor to join our team at Texas Oncology!This position will support the Denton location.This is a full-time Monday-Friday 8am-5pm position with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

What does the Scheduling Supervisor do? (including but not limited to)
Responsible for coordination and operation of scheduling functions. Acts as a liaison with physicians, patients and office staff. Responsible for development, administration and oversight of scheduling procedures for each physician, lab and chemotherapy department. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities:The essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Supervises the daily activities of all scheduling duties. Performs all aspects of scheduling staff as workload demands.
- Obtains all information necessary to enter a new patient in system. Including demographics and complete insurance information. Obtains medical records needed for new patient o be evaluated by physician at office visit.
- Maintains scheduling guidelines to coordinate physician, lab and chemotherapy schedules. Reviews schedules daily for accuracy. Corrects conflicts in the schedules as needed.
- Coordinates scheduling procedures with front office, medical staff, insurance and billing departments to ensure smooth transition and accurate information.
- Trains new employees in scheduling department. Updates, informs and trains staff as needed on new procedures.
- Supervises daily charge ticket and chart preparation to each physician?s specifications. Ensures end of day charge ticket collection with diagnosis and office level completion.
- Assists in the supervision of Schedulers and other non-licensed patient care providers as needed.
The ideal candidate for the Scheduling Supervisor role will have the following background and experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum seven years office experience, preferably in a medical office setting.

Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for prolonged periods of time.
