Occupational Therapist Compensation
- The pay for this position is $35-$39 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Occupational Therapist Responsibilities
- Assesses clients/consumers' physical capacities, developmental &/or psychosocial functions (e.g., motor cognitive, perceptual, behavioral, physical capacities) using standardized &/or non-standardized assessment & measuring tools, plans, coordinates & implements occupational therapy group or individual treatment plans for clients/consumers, determines appropriate therapy techniques & sequence & coordinates treatment plans with other programs for overall client/consumer benefit.
- Provides consultation with clients/consumers, other health care professionals & interested outside parties regarding client/consumer progress, recommendations for treatment & integration of plans with other programs; participates in planning, organizing & controlling occupational therapy services, policies & procedures; participates as interdisciplinary team member; assesses & locates suitable adaptive equipment.
- Documents evaluations, observations & assessments of client/consumer performance; records treatment plans & revisions; requisitions supplies & equipment; maintains records; keeps abreast of current knowledge relevant to occupational therapy through reading & attending in-service & mandated training; attends staff meetings.
- Exposed to unpredictable behavior of clients/consumers.
- Assesses, recommends and provides IEP mandated occupational therapy services
- Assesses student needs for occupational therapy schedules students for occupational therapy
- Assists and instructs students during therapeutic sessions according to students IEP goals
- Collaborates with the classroom teacher in the implementation of appropriate adaptations and accommodations to be used during the school day
- Collaborates with residential staff, when appropriate, to determine appropriate accommodations for use in the after-school program
- Communicates with parents about the students progress through progress reports and on a regular basis
- Submits monthly billing for Medicaid School Program
- Provides input and updates the IEP Team and/or transition team of students occupational therapy progress and needs
- Advises the school/parents about resources and/or equipment.
- Occupational Therapist Requirements
- Current State of Ohio Occupational Therapist License pursuant to Section 4755.02 of Revised Code.
- Biennial renewal of licensure as occupational therapist
Occupational Therapist Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and collaboration.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with case management principles and medical imaging techniques is a plus.
- Experience working in a school or with a student population
- ASL
