**This is a part-time position for approx 16 hrs /week**
HJF is seeking a Scientist III to lead the development and execution of research projects. Supervises projects and investigates the feasibility of applying a wide variety of scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions, products, and problems. Develops new technologies and protocols.
This position will be in support of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Center for Rehabilitation Sciences Research, conducting the "Auditory Cognition Lab: A Manualization, Feasibility, and Acceptability Study of a Music Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology Co-Treatment for Military-Connected Populations with TBI" protocol.

Responsibilities:Responsibilities
- Demonstrates cross-disciplinary knowledge, leadership, and communication. Provides design and implementation consultation related to conducting the experimental protocol.
- Coordinates protocol design with other senior technical and professional staff.
- Interprets experimental data. Assess strengths and weaknesses of work.
- Prepares publication-ready manuscripts. Provides input on scientific reports and reviews for submission to scientific journals and patent applications.
- Makes scientific observations and ensures documentation fulfills generally accepted professional/industry standards.
- Coordinates and prepares new grant and funding applications as applicable.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required meetings or training for role.
Education and Experience
- Doctoral Degree required.
- Minimum of 8-10 years experience required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of applicable complex scientific procedures and techniques.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical procedures.
- Ability to work independently and supervise others.
Work Environment
- This position will be 100% telework.
Compensation
- The hourly pay range for this position is $48.32. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final salary will be determined based on market analysis, experience, and education.
