Job Description
We have a great opportunity for a skilled Scientistto join our dynamic TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy)group.
The TEM Scientist will be responsible for:
- Partneringwith team members to provide high quality analysis servicetoclients.
- Operating TEM tools to obtain TEM/STEM images, SAED, EDS and EELS data from samples.
- Developing TEM analysis protocols/techniques to meet clients' requests.
- Creatingsummary reports to capture the project objectives, analysis data and interpretation of the results.
- Operating the TEM tools (FEI or JEOL electron microscopes) and collecting TEM/STEM images based on customers' requests
- Performing elemental analysis such as EDS/EELS (collecting/process the data and creatingthe reports)
- Engaging in discussions with the customers to solve their questions and concerns
Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Materials Science or related field.
- Must have 3yrs+ hands-on experience in TEM analysis characterizinga variety of materials.
- Excellent understanding of the operations and principles of TEM tools.
- Expert background in electron microscopy, including TEM/STEM, SAED, 4D-STEM, EDS and EELS, etc.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
- Familiarity withFEI and JEOL electron microscope tools.
- Experience with semiconductor chip products and wafer samples is a plus.
- Ability to continuously operate a personal computer or lab equipment for extended periods of time (4 or more hours).
- Ability to operate a keyboard and other lab equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overhead.
- Ability to communicate clearly and understandably ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting.
- Ability to handle small and fragile devices with tweezers and /or fingers.
- Require close distance visual acuity with or without correction (Glasses, Contacts, etc.).
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time.

Additional Information
Compensation Range: $110,000-$120,000. (Salary is commensurate with experience and degree of technical expertise. Additional evening shift differential will apply.)
