We are seeking an LC-MS Quantitation Bioanalytical Chemist in West Lafayette, IN
Responsibilities:Corporate
- Enter data into databases
- Follow SOPs and other applicable laboratory or company procedures
- Maintain confidential information
General
- Interact with the community and employees
- Support and participate in other company initiatives as directed by senior management
- Perform other duties as assigned
Specific
- Perform routine sample analysis, method development and validation experiments
- Develop and maintain records to comply with appropriate regulatory requirements
- Maintain all communication with clients
- Coordinate all internal aspects of the study
- Review data associated with the study
- Troubleshoot analytical methods
- Conduct and document laboratory investigations
- Train laboratory personnel as needed
- Enter data into databases
- Follow SOPs and other applicable laboratory or company procedures
Tools, Equipment & Other Resources Used
- Various software applications sustained by a Windows platform. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Operates laboratory equipment, including but not limited to, HPLC and LCMS/MS instruments, fluid pumps, balances, pH meters, lab mixers, drying ovens, centrifuges, pipettes, and hand tools.
Essential Education, Experience & Skills
Experienced Bachelors degree + 5 years of experience OR
Masters + 3 years of experience OR
Ph.D. researchers with hands-on analytical preparation (PP, LLE, SLE, and SPE) and LC/MS/MS operation in developing and validating Quantitative bioanalytical methods.
Must Haves
- Demonstrated trouble-shooting and critical thinking skills
- Ability to design bioanalytical experiments for Validation (Scientist), Development, Optimization, and Investigation (Senior Scientist)
- Solid understanding of GxP regulations and a history of routine applications
- Experience communicating experimental processes and scientific conclusions
Preferred
- Supervising, training, and mentoring Junior Scientists
- Experienced with client communications
- Software: Watson LIMS, Analyst, Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel
- Peptide, protein, biomarker, and/or oligonucleotide analysis
- ICP-MS quantitation
*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person’s relevant experience and/or education level.
