POSITION SUMMARY:
As a seasonal inspector, your days will be spent at our beautiful vacation rental properties inspecting the homes to ensure they meet or exceed our cleaning and property appearance standards, and thoroughly checking for any maintenance or housekeeping concerns. You will inspect homes after our professional housekeepers complete their work to ensure everything is perfect before the next family arrives, and put in household items to make sure everything is fresh and in perfect condition.
There will be days you will encounter homeowners and guests at properties, and help with anything they need to get their stay off to a great start. Many days you will meet with housekeepers at properties to help guide them in their work. Building great professional rapport with homeowners and housekeepers, as well as making personal connections with our short-term guests, is a huge part of the work you'll do, and hugely rewarding!
We focus on setting everyone up for success at every step of every day. This starts with ourselves, and extends to setting our housekeepers, our homeowners, our guests, and each member of the Housekeeping Department and of Emerald Isle Realty, up for success. The perfect candidates for this opportunity will have this at the forefront of their mind each day. They will also have truly extraordinary communication skills, and be accountable team members that are also able to work independently.
Quality assurance inspecting will also always involve some amount of cleaning. There will be times during your day-to-day when some amount of light cleaning will be needed. If you possess a passion for cleaning and inspecting, and helping others, you'll truly enjoy your work.
The primary schedule for this position is Saturday-Sunday each week, from 9am - 5pm until Memorial Day Weekend. From Memorial Day weekend until approximately the end of October (depending on number of reservations) the schedule is Saturday-Sunday each week, from 8am - 6pm. Weekday work is not required or expected, but we will have weekday scheduling available some weeks, and would love to have you if have that availability!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate effectively by phone and in person with owners, guests, co-workers, and housekeepers
- Inspect rental properties to ensure that the level of cleanliness meets or exceeds Emerald Isle Realty standards
- Enforce Standard Unit Appearance
- Replace household items in rental units and submit necessary documentation for billing
- Report any damages and maintenance or housekeeping concerns for rental properties
- Ensure that rental properties are secured
- Assist with making beds in rental properties when needed
- Other duties as assigned

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Hourly Rate: $15.00 - $16.00
