Secretary | Pharmacy Administration | Days | Full-time - UF Health

This is a full time, fully in office, position.

Receptionist for the Dept. of Pharmacy Services (answer phones, greet visitors); provide secretarial support for Pharmacy leadership staff; responsible for purchase orders and payment for minor equipment and departmental non-medical supplies; and also responsible for providing Prescription Pads for all hospital residents and fellows.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED.

Excellent communication skills required.

Must be able to deal with the public, administrators, professionals, and physicians in a pleasant and mature manner.

Good organizational skills, ability to maintain confidentiality and knowledge of hospital operations are required.

PC skills required (Word, Excel preferred).

General office equipment skills required.

Previous secretarial experience preferred.

Previous experience in healthcare preferred.

Knowledge of Office Suite is preferred.

This is a full time, in office position.

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:

Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose

NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job. Please indicate the appropriate operator designation on the Request for Personnel (RFP) form at the time a RFP is submitted to post the position.

As a condition of employment within the Pharmacy Services Department of Shands Hospital all employees must be accessible by telephone. This requires each employee to provide a valid telephone number to the department Staff Assistant, in order for the department to reach them in the event of hospital need and/or emergency.
