Job Summary
- Maintain security of Tournament Players Club buildings, club house grounds, maintenance and lodging facilities against fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry.
QUALIFICATIONS DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Experience required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Patrol, periodically, buildings and grounds of club house, maintenance and lodging facilities.
- Examine doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.
- Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
- Inspect equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering has occurred.
- Watch for and report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked.
- Observe departing personnel to guard against theft of company property.
- Sound alarm or call police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons. Permit authorized persons to enter property.
- Register at watch stations to record time of inspection trips.
- Record data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment, for use of supervisory staff.
- Regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic at entrance to maintain orderly flow.
- Special projects or other duties as assigned.

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; kneel; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus .An essential function of the job is to be able to comply with all applicable federal, state and local safety and health regulations that would apply to this job. Travel

Work Schedule Expectations
- This position requires after hours, on-call shifts and the ability to work during nonstandard hours when the need arises.

- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but may serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
