Job Summary:
We are seeking a Security Supervisor to work in a utility facility in Green Bay, WI. The individual will work with facility management, facility ownership, and the contracted security staff to maintain all aspects of physical, personnel and visitor security and life safety. This position will also manage all aspects of emergency preparedness including development, training and drills. We are seeking a customer focused and results-oriented professional that possesses strong influencing skills and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the Security Site Manager include:
- Manage contracted security staff operations and enforce security contract standards, policies and procedures.
- Create and promote a positive and proactive work environment.
- Develop and implement short and long-range plans for personnel and guest safety, as well as asset protection.
- Monitor and oversee the Security Command Center, including camera and security system integration, access control, life safety systems and radio communications. Candidate should be proficient in modern security system technology, such as electronic access control systems (CCure 9000) and central station monitoring systems and CCTV systems with digital recording (Ocularis, OnSSI’s IP Video Surveillance platform).
- Create and implement safety protocols, including emergency preparedness plans, bomb threat plans and disaster response procedures. • Act as the Building Fire and Life Safety Director and implement all evacuation ordinance requirements, including fire and life safety teams, emergency evacuation/fire drills, safety training for employees, emergency manuals, signage, etc.
- Oversee the management of all regulatory compliance with City, State, OSHA, Licensing and NFPA standards impacting the building operations.
- Manage, review and update all compliance mechanisms such as audits, inspections and reports.
- Establish and enforce protocols for floor operations and controls, property removal and after-hours facility access.
- Respond to and provide assistance with reported medical emergencies, bomb threats, fire alarms, intrusion alarms or elevator entrapments, following established emergency response procedures.
- Respond to and manage any extenuating circumstances should they arise, including potentially aggressive protestors.
- Conduct internal investigations and prepare written reports and documentation on investigative findings and processes. File police reports on behalf of building management.
- Review and report on all threats, risks, intel, investigations and any ongoing issues, providing recommendations for corrective action and/or mitigation strategies.
- Evaluate, recommend and implement programs that continually improve security service levels.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and new developments within the security industry and implement where applicable.
- Network with law enforcement organizations (IACP, FBI, CMS, and local police departments) and security industry associations (ASIS, AFCI, NFPA).
- Work collaboratively with external groups such as Federal, State and Local law enforcement and emergency services, as well as internally with management, ownership, facilities and legal departments.
- Monitor the quality of contracted security staff performance including the review of disciplinary actions, as well as ensuring a regular performance appraisal program is executed for all staff including security shift supervisors, assistant supervisors and security officers.
- Consult with and assist the security contractor on scheduling shift assignments.
- Supervise and ensure compliance of training programs for security officers and supervisors.
- Coordinate and work with security vendors, including guard service and access control vendors, to manage costs associated with security and safety technology.
- Provide management with quarterly reports and annual audits of the security contractor.
- Review shift reports, logs and work orders on a daily basis, responding appropriately and ensuring accuracy in logging procedures. Follow up with management on any security-related issues or concerns.
- Oversee employee, contractor and vendor building access and deliveries, addressing any situations that arise.
- Coordinate and direct private/special event security activities on and offsite for management and ownership.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: Associates Degree in Corporate Information Security, Criminal Justice or related field and/or equivalent experience/education preferred. Minimum of five years of managerial and policy making experience in the security field. Prior employment history demonstrating the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment while managing multiple tasks and priorities, and produce accurate results in a highly-organized manner.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must hold an active Wisconsin Private Security License issued by the Wisconsin Dept of Safety and Professional Services.
Language Skills: Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Computer Skills: Ability to create and manage budgets, budget variance reports and other reports in Excel.
Other Qualifications: Must possess excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, financial and time management skills with the ability to concisely and effectively address questions while providing subject matter expertise on policy to ownership and management. Strong qualitative and quantitative skills. Self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively, establish workflow priorities and work independently with high attention to detail. Ability to start, cultivate and maintain strong relations and work in a team environment
Physical Demands: Standard office environment.
Travel: Limited travel will be required (approximately 5% of the time).
