Job DescriptionJob Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will act as a key technical resource for our sales/operations teams providing deep expertise in our security solutions. While designing, implementing, and maintaining physical security measures to protect client’s personal property, assets, and infrastructure. You will work closely with our clients to understand their security needs and support the sales/operation process from initial engagement to closing.
- Client Needs Analysis and Proposal Alignment
- Conduct thorough assessments of client requirements and align them cohesively with the strategic vision presented in Account Managers' proposals.
- Proposal Development and Collaboration
- Assist the Account Managers and Business Development teams in the formulation, refinement, and finalization of comprehensive proposals for prospective leads and clients.
- Strategic Product and Solution Presentation
- Proactively identify and present products or solutions that can enhance revenue generation or provide valuable support to M3T's clientele.
- Project Support and Coordination
- Collaborate closely with Account Managers, Project Managers, and Integration Technicians to facilitate the achievement of project milestones.
- Provide expert phone support and design consultation.
- Conduct on-site evaluations and fieldwork when required to assess project needs and progress.

- Survey Execution and Design Development
- Execute precise surveys and meticulously craft proposal designs that align with and address the specific requirements of customer projects.
- Financial Project Oversight
- Demonstrate proficiency in understanding the financial parameters of projects in design phase, ensuring that all design solutions are developed within the designated budgetary framework.
- Business Objective Alignment
- Strategically identify and recommend products, services, and pricing models that resonate with customer needs, thereby contributing to the achievement of overarching business objectives.
- Project Closure and Transition Management
- Ensure seamless project closure by effectively coordinating with Project Managers and Coordinators, facilitating a smooth transition and handover process.
- Develop Comprehensive Programming Matrices for Each Project.
- Maintain Open and Proactive Communication with Clients Throughout the Engineering Process.
- Execute Additional Responsibilities as Delegated or Assigned.
- 3+ years of experience in a technical engineering or pre-sales engineering role, preferably in the security industry.
- Strong knowledge of physical security systems and technologies, including CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems
- Strong understanding of security technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, and cloud security.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with security risk assessment methodologies and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with sales teams and customers to achieve sales goals.
- Certifications in relevant security technologies (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CCSP) are a plus.
- Ability/willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend events.
