About the Job
The Special Education Teacher is responsible for IEP development and case management, data collection, differentiation, and intervention for academic and/or social-emotional needs, technology integration and ability to work with different professions, therapist, and age-groups. We are seeking a caring individual with a desire to help students achieve their goals to join our team.
Essential Tasks:
- Prepare and implement the instructional process for students with IEPs
- Deliver instruction, through the use of curriculum materials and educational software
- Develop daily lesson plans and classroom schedules that reflect state and school requirements
- Implement standards for student behavior to ensure a safe, secure, and effective learning environment by providing a high degree of structure, clear expectations, and consistency
Requirements
Illinois ESE K-12 Certification.
Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related degree.
Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities.
Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role.
