About the Position
Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Staff Accountant is a key position within the accounting organization responsible for assisting with the full accounting cycle including month-end close, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information. What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA certification preferred but not required.
- 2+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience.
- Analytical skills with knowledge of accounting principles and standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables are your playground)
- Self-starter with an ownership mindset; ability to prioritize, organize, and drive multiple workstreams.
- Self-motivated, ability to learn quickly, and highly organized with a strong attention to detail
What You'll Do:
- Work directly with the Controller and CFO on timely completion of month-end close
- Prepare and post general ledger journals including revenue, bad debt reserve, intercompany expenses, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other ledger activity as needed.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the financial statements and other information reported to internal and external users.
- Maintaining fixed assets; including asset additions, disposals, sales, and monthly depreciation.
- Reconcile and record daily cash.
- Work closely with Accounts Payable to ensure proper coding of expenses.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and other tasks as necessary.
