Senior Accountant Qualifications

· Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

· Experience: 4+ years in general ledger accounting or equivalent.

· Proficiency in general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, month-end close activities, and some financial analysis.

· Advanced Excel skills and experience with big ERP systems.  SAP is Ideal. 

· Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Senior Accountant Duties

· Monitor daily business activities related to general ledgers (GLs).

· Prepare and enter journal entries for month-end closing, including accruals, prepaids, reserve reviews, amortization, and freight tracking.

· Perform monthly reconciliations of key general ledger accounts and provide flux analysis.

· Collaborate with cross-functional business groups to complete monthly closing.

· Provide audit evidence and explanations to internal and external auditors.

· Participate in accounting projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
