Senior Accountant - Non-profit

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

• Our client is a prominent, nationally-recognized Non-profit located on the Upper East Side! They have been around for over 100 years.
• The organization fosters mission outreach and regular fellowship programs, and education!
• They are looking for a controller to join their collaborative accounting/ finance team. This role would be working under the treasurer and reporting directly to the Director of Admin and Finance.

OVERVIEW OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

• Overseeing all financial activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, providing strategic financial guidance, etc.
• Annual Audit related tasks
• Prepare review and analyze financial statements
• Lead the annual budget process
• Ensuring proper internal controls
• Maintaining record keeping of investment accounts- including recording all purchases, sales and investment earnings, and reconciliations.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT:

• Non-profit experience
• Sage Intacct experience is a plus!
• Strong accounting principals
