About You
The Senior Accountant should have the following qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent degree with a record of strong academic achievement;
Experience: At least 4 years of full-cycle accounting experience. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of relevant accounting experience in the healthcare industry;
Entrepreneurial: CINQCARE seeks to fix gaps that have persisted for generations in the delivery of care to Black and Brown populations. This position is accountable for the self-motivation and self-direction to ensure CINQCARE is positioned to innovatively deliver on its promise.
Communication: Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills; ability to clearly articulate and present concepts and models in an accessible manner to CINQCARE’s team, investors, partners, and other stakeholders.
Technology: Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications. Super user of Excel. Experience with Accounting software - ERP preferred.
Relationships: Ability to build and effectively manage relationships with coworkers, business leaders and external constituents; and,
Culture: Good judgement, impeccable ethics, and a strong team player; desire to succeed and grow in a fast-paced, demanding, and entrepreneurial company.
About the Job
The Senior Accountant reports to the Finance Manager with accountability for deliverables across multiple entities. They should embody CINQCARE’s core values, including, Trusted, Empathetic, Committed, Humble, Creative and Community-Minded.
The Senior Accountant will have the following responsibilities:
- Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance.
- Prepare and file tax returns.
- Enter accounting related information into business logs.
- Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy.
- Organize and update financial records.
- Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
- Perform monthly bank settlements.
- Prepare documentation for external auditors.
The Senior Accountant will also have the following duties:
Collaboration: The Senior Accountant will communicate and work across departments and lines of business to ensure that full information is available for decision making and process.
Knowledge: The Senior Accountant will provide subject matter expertise in Finance solutions, including recommending approaches, solution deployment and performance evaluation.
Culture: The Senior Accountant is accountable for creating a productive, collaborative, safe and inclusive work environment for the Finance team and as part of the larger company.

The working environment and physical requirements of the job include:
In-office work is performed indoors in a traditional office setting with conditioned air, artificial light, and an open workspace.
In this position you will need an ability to communicate with customers, vendors, management, and other co-workers in person and over devices, sometimes with people who are agitated. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods is common. Must be able to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Lifting of up to 30 lbs. occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and FAX machines. Good reasoning ability is important. Able to understand and utilize management reports, memos, and other documents to conduct business.
