About the Organization: Senior Manager of Accounting

• Creative Financial Staffing of New York is working with a leading food industry organization located in the Hunts Point, Bronx area
• They are seeking a Director of Accounting to join their team to support the Controller with managing organization operations

Role Responsibilities: Senior Manager of Accounting

• Oversee the weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and close activities
• Manage bank accounts, cash flow reporting and activities
• Assist the Controller with the development of accounting policies and procedures
• Review and/or prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
• Supervise the general accounting team
• Assist in the year-end financial statement audit
• Partner with Controller to provide support for monthly and year-end financial statement disclosures
• Demonstrate an understanding of P/L Statements, evaluate results and provide variance analysis to budget

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

• Specific experience working in a corporate environment

Education and Experience:

• CPA is a must
• Relevant industry experience is a must
• 6-8 years of experience in corporate general accounting
• 3-4 years managing teams
• familiarity with Dynamics365, or other ERP/accounting systems
• Excel skills (Expert in analytics, data management, pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, etc)
