About the Job
Law School located in Tribeca is seeking to hire a Temporary Senior Admissions Assistant to support the Office of Admissions and Student Financial Services. This position will start ASAP, require 5 days in office. Hours 9:00am-6:00pm, availability for OT as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as the office ambassador, by greeting, providing support and connecting visitors and guests with the appropriate staff member.
- Answering incoming calls for the office and connecting callers with the most suitable individuals to address their needs.
- Schedules, coordinates internal and external meetings, including conference calls, virtual and in-person meetings.
- Creates meeting agendas as directed, and proactively seeks background materials for meetings as part of daily preparation.
- Manages and reconciles expense reports and reimbursements.
- Performs administrative tasks including drafting letters, memos, invoices, reports and other documents.
- Assist the office with day-to-day operations and logistics, which may include, but not limited to maintaining office inventory and supplies, sorting mail, filing, copying, and scanning.
- Ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required with two to three years of admissions experience or related higher education experience.
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills, with proven ability to communicate and present positive information about the school in a professional, persuasive, and effective manner.
- Demonstrated written communication skills to create, proofread and edit business correspondence so that it is clear, concise, and grammatically correct.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse individuals and groups at all organizational levels, both inside and outside of the law school.
- Demonstrated computer experience in word processing, Excel spreadsheets and databases preferably in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information in a professional and respectful manner.
- Demonstrated sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional knowledge of office administration, office administrative procedures, and recordkeeping systems.
Compensation:
- Hourly up to $25/hr
