The Position
- Reporting to the Head of Business Transformation of Liberty Mutual Investments (LMI), the Senior Analyst, Product & Strategy will drive impactful insights and shape the future of our products across LMI through market research, user analysis and performance measurement to create & refine compelling product strategies that transform investor decisions and ability to execute business goals across our firm.
- Supports the planning, development, execution and measurement of transformation across business units, including process design, improvement, and continuous experimentation and horizon scanning of external trends and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Supports continuous improvement and innovation activities to drive continued business growth and transformation. Reinforces a culture of creativity and holistic thinking into product and business teams.
- Leads Discovery efforts across business, product, data and technology teams that provides insights for optimizing existing processes and products to enhance efficiency and end user experience.
- Analyzes product performance data to identify patterns, measure success, and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to define OKRs and KPIs and regularly review to identify performance and future opportunities for improvement
- Provides clear and detailed requirements to development teams, ensuring they have the information needed to build the product.
- Monitors external landscape through research, horizon scanning and competitive trends to proactively bring recommendations and insights to end users for improvements or innovative solutions. This may involve reading industry publications, attending conferences, and networking with other professionals to focus on opportunities for continuous improvement
- Identifies opportunities for improvement and efficiency across operations through productivity and automation solutions, including identifying new tools to address gaps or obstacles for end users to enhance and evolve overall ways of working.
- Works with Product Owners and Program Managers to identify dependencies across products, addressing and accounting for as needed in business transformation plans and activities.
- Assists in developing, testing, and deploying solutions for LMI, while keeping goals, business priorities and new or existing technology and methodologies in mind to eliminate redundancies and ensure consistency and effectiveness
- Ability to approach problems methodically and come up with creative and effective solutions.
- Ability to empathize with users and understand their pain points and needs.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity to drive business outcomes.
- Understand analytical tools and techniques to interpret data, identify trends, and draw actionable insights.
- Understand basic statistical methods and how to apply them to analyze product performance and user behavior.
- Hands on experience in designing and conducting user surveys, interviews, and focus groups to gather qualitative insights.
- Proven experience in communicating effectively with various stakeholders, including product managers, designers, developers, and executives.
- Curiosity to understand user behavior, market dynamics, and emerging technologies.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences at all levels of the organization.
- Understand credit investments, including Limited Partnerships, direct private investments, structured products, and other marketable securities is preferred.
- Prior experience with public and private credit investments and planning tools such as Simcorp, eFront, Anaplan, Aladdin, Cobalt, and Burgiss a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of finance or investment operations/technology implementation and Agile experience.
- Bachelor`s degree required. Advanced degree in Business preferred.
