Areas of responsibility include configuration, integration, build and testing of autonomy software
Requirements development and verification of software in a bench or simulation environment as well as troubleshooting software or system defects

Write CodeTest plan creation, execution, and documentationReview CodeParticipate in daily standups and Sprint Planning in DevOpsCompletion of feature specific testing using manual, automated, and simulation methods.Support for system and software troubleshooting in the lab, factory, and field.Education requirement:Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in an accredited Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering..What skills you will have:Problem Solving:Ability to communication robotics concepts to other team members.Confirms deliverables associated with requirements analysis.Develops a deep working knowledge of autonomy in on or off-road applications; uses this knowledge to help the team solve problems.Effectively performs the technical job aspects, continuously building knowledge.Applies current procedures and technologies to help resolve technical issues in one's general area of technical competence.Technical Troubleshooting:Helps others solve technical or procedural problems or issues.Follow policies, practices, and standards for determining functional and informational requirements among the teams.Applies knowledge of autonomy systems to ensure software meets engineering requirements.Supports the team in developing, troubleshooting and executing system test plans.Software Development Life Cycle:Participates in the preparation of detailed documentation and requirements.Utilizes hardware, simulation, and software-in-the-loop tools & methods to test software.Discovers, analyzes, and resolves software or application problems identified on smoke test, test benches, lab, proving ground, field.Records and reports specific technical problems, solving processes and tools that have been used.Utilizes tools and processes to develop software including C++Additional Information:The location for this position is Mossville, IL, SF California, Clayton NCDomestic relocation assistance is available for this position.This position will require less than 10% travel.Sponsorship is available for this position.What you will get:Our goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career
