Amazon is seeking a Sr. Commercial Manager to lead efforts to drive commercial value, process excellence and business development with Fleet Management Company (FMC) partners with a focus on the contract management of services with the FMC partners for over 90,000 vehicles.
This leader will have solid business acumen, be comfortable interfacing with external partners and driving initiatives across various internal teams, have a passion for developing and implementing innovated approaches in a traditional business environment, and be willing to roll up their sleeves to deliver results that will significantly impact Amazon's last mile delivery capabilities. The leader will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead commercial discussions with Amazon's Fleet Management Company (FMC) partners to ensure Amazon is receiving the highest value
- Manage existing contracts and negotiate amended terms to drive annual cost savings
- Set measurable annual targets for partners that align with the overall goals of the organization
- Create mechanisms to best measure and manage partner performance; lead monthly business reviews with senior management
- Draft and negotiate terms for new business requirements, handling multiple negotiations simultaneously
- Build strategies and business plans to enable the most flexible fleet and support new vehicle types
- Work with operational stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate these requirements into contractual language
- Support the commercial relationship and commercial management of other strategic fleet partnerships in FPAC
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements
- Knowledge of Excel at an advanced level
- 6+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross-functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business
- Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
