Full Time Position
On site in Sun Valley, CA
Schedule: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Compensation Range: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour (depending on experience + night differential pay)

We are looking for Senior CNC Mill & Lathe Machinists who will set up and operate computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts per work order/drawing requirements in a safety-conscious and quality-focused manner. The role is accountable to load parts in the machine, cycle the machine and detect malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools.
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of experience with setting up and operating CNC Mill or CNC Lathe machines
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skill
- Ability to read blueprints and has knowledge of GD&T
- Ability to do First Article Inspections
- Ability to maintain close tolerances up to 0.0001 of an inch
- Familiar with Fanuc Controls and Mazak Controls
- Familiar with Doosan, Mazak, Nakamura, Allan Bradley (Lathe)
- Familiar with Mitsui-Seiki, Yasda, Fadal, Haas, Matsura (Mill)
- Ability to use and machine shop tools EX: micrometers, calipers, indicators
- Must have ability to apply basic math skills required
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs. required
- Knowledge of Aerospace standards (ex. AS9100, ISO9001) preferred
Job Responsibilities: (will include but not be limited to)
- Determine the fixtures, attachments and tools necessary to complete jobs according to specifications, and set up machine
- Discuss job specifications with engineers and supervisors to guarantee consistency between plans and products
- Modify machine speed, feed rates, tooling and cutting style to ensure precision and accuracy of manufactured parts
- Oversee cutting process, make adjustments throughout each job, catch mistakes as they happen and take necessary measures to eliminate errors
- Review and interpret programs, enter them into control outlets before jobs and alter them to correct mistakes when necessary
- Inspect all finished products for accuracy and uniformity to ensure product quality and uphold company reputation
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly maintenance tasks to ensure machine longevity, including lubrication, cleaning and tool replacement
