Senior Centralized Loan Processor (Full Time) located in Tallahassee, FL.
The Senior Centralized Loan Processor is responsible to assist the Centralized Processing Supervisor with training, and guidance to Centralized Processing/Support team members, ensuring that the team members adhere to the highest quality standards and efficiency. They are responsible for processing all applications received from the dealers for indirect loans, Commerce Connect Vendors, and all financial centers for consumer loans. They must exhibit strong attention to detail to enable them to process complex financial paperwork with efficiency and accuracy. Must be able to spot mistakes and missing information on documents immediately and communicate this to the loan officers. The Loan processor is responsible for reviewing the loan documents for errors and noncompliance issues prior to sending documents out for closing with the members. Must be able to perform under pressure, meeting on demand requests from our vendors and loan officers for loan submissions.
- Will serve as back up for the Centralized supervisor being available for questions and providing direction and assistance to the Centralized Processing team as needed. Trains, mentors, and coaches centralized processors.
- Assures that the Indirect Spreadsheet is updated daily when the supervisor is not available to enter the data.
- Reviews application packages received from indirect auto loan dealers for proper documentation, calculations, regulatory requirements (CIP) and approval conditions.
- Inform dealers of held offerings for missing documents or information needed to proceed with the loan submissions. Adheres to all deadlines related to processing timelines for approval of the loan submission or returns non-approved submissions to the dealers.
- Reviews consumer loan applications submission packages, checking for errors and/or missing documents, and related compliance requirements.
- Must meet stringent requirements for acceptable timeframes for loan closings.
- Performs final review of loan documents to check for errors and any compliance issues prior to funding the loan and forwarding it to vendors or lenders.
- Assists the Title Processors with the tracking and follow-up of automobile title issues with Indirect Dealers.
- Act as a resource for credit union Team Members regarding indirect, consumer and Commerce Connect Loans by answering questions related to auto lending policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent analytical, organizational, adaptable, and interpersonal skills required.
- Exceptional communication and member service skills. Must be able to express ideas clearly in written and oral communications; organize workload and prioritize tasks to meet changing priorities and deadlines; work effectively in collaboration with peers and team members.
- Skillful in general math calculations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel software programs. Demonstrated ability to type, run fax, and use calculator properly.
- Identify issues and create resolutions quickly.
- Must be composed and professional under pressure.
- Must have the ability to work in a high paced work environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required. 2-year degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial institution or finance company.
- Experience with consumer loan lending, audit and/or quality control is preferred; relevant, prior experience accepted.
