Senior Civil Engineer (PE) - Impact Recruitment

Impact Recruitment is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our client’s Land Development services team, in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Responsibilities of the position:

• You are at the forefront of brainstorming creative solutions for challenging projects.
• You lead, support, and mentor an interdisciplinary team to deliver multimodal transportation infrastructure in a wide range of contexts from roadway reconstructions and streetscapes in highly urban settings to signature trail projects in suburban and rural areas that highlight and enhance the natural environment.
• You use programs such as AutoCAD or MicroStation to fulfill production work on your projects.
• You will share your knowledge with staff and clients, to develop feasibility studies, concept plans, and construction documents, as well mentor your colleagues to ensure that our projects are consistently of the highest quality.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in civil engineering
• Professional engineering license
• 10+ years of experience developing construction documents
• 2+ years of experience serving in a project or design management role
• Experience preparing transportation and local agency permit documents
• Proficiency in one or more of the following: MicroStation InRoads, MicroStation OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience coordinating utility, right-of-way, street lighting, traffic signals, and landscape and hardscape layout
• General knowledge of project performance metrics and strategies for monitoring them
• Exposure to construction management is strongly preferred
• Experience using stormwater design software such as HydroCAD or HydroFlow is a plus
• Having a strong interest in multimodal and active transportation design is preferred.
