HOW A SENIOR CLOUD SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACTDescription:This requirement is for a cloud-systems engineer supporting Research, Development, Testing, and multiple phases of product Evaluation (RDT&E)
The ideal candidate possesses a broad range of systems experiences and embraces challenges as opportunities to showcase their expertise and capacity for problem solving
This position comes with broad latitude to define and implement many of the duties described below within both traditional and non-traditional information technology bounds
The client will be frequently seeking advice and leveraging your expertise to propose solutions to complex technology problems which are often first of their kind technologies within the Intelligence Community.Additionally, the selected candidate will: Interface directly with software developers to design, establish, and maintain infrastructure (both physical and virtual) support the business and engineering needsDemonstrate new technologies and capabilities the cloudPerform general systems administrator duties such as:Perform software installations, patches, and upgrades through a variety disparately connected meansMonitor systems healthTroubleshoot interconnectivity issuesImplement security best practices under applicable federal and generally accepted industry standards security codes and principlesOptimize systems to meet individuals performance expectations (i.e., cost, up time, redundancy)Develop, implement, and maintain automated data back-up and recovery strategiesProvide software deployment support to multiple development teams simultaneouslyUtilize existing or create new tools and processes to optimize and maintain systems to coincide with organizational goalsCommunicate a holistic strategy for documenting all of the above using technology means (i.e
