Role and Responsibilities
- Prepare supporting documents and enter journal entries as part of the monthly close process.
- Perform analytical procedures to identify expense, revenue, and balance sheet fluctuations.
- Reconcile and document general ledger balance sheet accounts (Prepaids, Fixed Assets, Intangibles, Other Assets, Accrued Liabilities) on a monthly basis.
- Assist in preparing annual audit document requests.
- Provide support with the Yardi to NetSuite accounting conversion.
- Provide support for future acquisitions and the integration of those customer contracts into Radian's accounting processes.
- Work with multiple operational departments to ensure timely processing of accounting information from operational systems to the corporate accounting systems.
- Review and interpret customer contracts to ensure proper setup of charges.
- Review and reconcile charges, credits, and refunds.
- Track the backlog of customer contracts and work collaboratively with multiple departments to ensure the proper billing start dates take place in a timely manner.
- Understanding of general ledger accounts and matching revenue with related expenses.
- Lead ad hoc projects as assigned, including responsibility for successful and timely completion.
- Suggest process improvement initiatives and provide solutions to enhance current processes.
- Enhance and capture workflows to ensure efficiencies, accuracy, and updated accounting policies.
- Reconcile bank accounts and prepare one off AP transactions throughout the month.
- May act as a lead or first-level supervisor, with ownership of reviewing and fixing discrepancies in teams work, providing consistent mentorship and coaching.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor"s degree or minimum of 5 years in accounting and/or finance.
- CPA or CPA candidate.
- Strong technical skills/proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power-Point, Outlook, Teams).
- Strong Excel experience with pivot tables, xlookups, vlookups, and sumifs.
- Working knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
- Ability to reconcile unique and complicated accounting activity.
- Ability to meet deadlines in fast paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Intacct Accounting Experience.
- Time management skills and ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities with shifting time frames.
- Strong analytical skills for researching and identifying discrepancies.
- Self-starter with high degree of initiative, urgency, and follow through.
- Proactive attitude towards process improvement.
The pay range for this role is:
57,561 - 82,231 USD per year(Charlotte HQ)
