Senior Cost Accountant - Strategic Employment

A private equity backed manufacturing client of ours is looking to add a Senior Cost Accountant to their team. This hire will be responsible for General Ledger Accounting, but will also bring a strong understanding of costing and adhere to Lean Accounting methodology.

What you'll be doing:

• Own costing and weekly close
• Weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting
• Cash flow forecasting and reconciliation
• Audit support (financial, workers comp and bank)
• Other projects as assigned

The ideal candidate has:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of professional Accounting experience
• Strong familiarity with costing (burden rates, bill of materials, cost recovery, inventory analysis, etc.)
• Ability to adhere to Lean Accounting methodologies and consistently strive for cost effectiveness and efficiency
• Excellent oral communication skills and ability to present to key stakeholders outside the Accounting department
