Estimator
Responsibilities:
- Work with engineers to develop estimates aligned with the proposed technical approach and P6 activities
- Identify needed resources and work with Supply Chain to obtain current and accurate pricing for resources as required
- Work with Schedulers to load resources from estimate onto correct activities
- Participate in review process and implement comments and feedback
Senior Cost Estimator
Responsibilities:
- Review source data including engineering documents
- Work with Volume III Lead to develop estimating plan and handbook
- Identify scope of work areas that require subcontract support or specially engineered equipment, and work with Supply Chain to write specifications and obtain pricing
- Identify scope areas that require subject matter expertise, and work with Proposal Manager to identify appropriate SMEs
- Select appropriate estimate methodologies
- Oversee and review the work of estimators and Junior Estimators.
- Participate in review process and ensure comments and feedback are implemented
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate DOE security clearance;
- Ability to work in a diverse work environment,
- Pre-placement physical examination, which includes drug screening, and inclusion in random drug testing program,
- Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must have working knowledge of Federal DOE Orders.
Estimator
- This is intended to be an intermediate level person with no less then experience equal to 8-13 years' experience
Senior Estimator
- This is intended to be a senior level person with no less then experience equal to 14+ years' experience
Aiken, SC. Position is 100% on-site.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Successful candidates will be able to perform the essential functions of the job with reasonable accommodation. The work schedule will be a nominal 40-hour work week. It is estimated that each standard year will consist of two-thousand and eighty hours. Ability to work a schedule that includes weekend days.
