Engineering is looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. The Data Platform team gathers and enables data throughout the organization in order to provide insights into all aspects of CHG's business. This allows our Sales and other business partners to make better informed decisions. As a Data Engineer on the Data Platform team, you will build ETL processes and Tableau extracts to enable others to build dashboards and reports. This role will report to Data Platform manager.

Responsibilities
- Implement the Enterprise Data Strategy defined by the company
- Analyze, design, develop, and deploy ETL solutions using Matillion, dbt, and Snowflake, as well as the Microsoft BI Suite for legacy support
- Contribute to ongoing migration to the Cloud, as well as load data/maintain data quality in the Data Lake
- Develop, package, and deliver new service offerings related to Data and Business Intelligence
- Work with management, data platform architect, report developers, project managers, and product managers to understand and prioritize data and information requirements and deliver in an agile environment
- Participate in testing methodology and criteria
Qualifications
- Willing to work alone as well as in a team, helping team members achieve project goals
- Demonstrate ability to help and mentor others as well as be open to mentoring from senior level peers, internalize feedback, change personal processes and behavior to conform to team objectives
- Maintain existing and develop new data pipelines, Tableau Extracts, and other data development requests, with considerations for processing performance
- Ensure quality data output for each development task through appropriate Self-QA that follows the testing standards of the Data Platform team
- Solid understanding of logical and physical models, including Kimball methodology
Education and Years of Experience
- 3-5 year(s) experience with data analysis and building ELT/ETL solutions
- 3-5 year(s) experience with ELT/ETL and cloud data warehousing methodologies and tools; (Snowflake, dbt, and Matillion preferred)
- 3-5 years SQL experience writing medium to complex queries
- Demonstrated experience with reporting-database integration, using APIs to extract data from source systems, and processing data in a range of database platforms
- Demonstrated experience with software design practices, relational databases, and data-driven reporting applications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field
Preferred
- Strong preference for candidates with experience building data pipelines using Python
- 1-3 year(s) experience developing Tableau extracts & dashboards
- Experience with the Kimball Methodology
We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $81,400-- $220,700 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience. During the hiring process, your recruiter can provide more information about the specific salary range for the job location.
CHG Healthcare offers starting salaries for sales positions in the form of total target compensation (TTC = base + commission + bonus), which includes base pay, commission, and bonuses. Sales positions receive short-term incentives through commission plans and bonuses. On the other hand, non-sales positions have starting salaries that consist of a base salary and short-term incentives through various bonus plans, which are paid out monthly, quarterly, or annually.
