Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Data Lead to join our dynamic professional services team. This is an
exciting opportunity to take a lead role in driving data migration efforts for Salesforce-based
solutions tailored specifically to the Insurtech industry. As our company scales, you will play a
pivotal role in shaping the way we handle large-scale, complex data transformations, working
closely with customers to ensure their legacy data is seamlessly integrated into our cutting-edge
platform. You'll have the chance to not only solve intricate data challenges but also grow your
technical and leadership skills as our projects expand.
In this senior role, you'll manage end-to-end data migrations, from understanding customer
needs to delivering accurate, high-quality data conversions. You'll be responsible for working with
a wide range of technologies and tools, ensuring data accuracy and integrity throughout the
entire process. The scope of your work will allow you to make a significant impact, both on our
customers' success and within our organization as a trusted leader in the data conversion space.
If you're looking to take on challenging projects, work with innovative technologies, and
contribute to a growing team, this role offers a unique opportunity to grow and make a real
difference.
What you'll do:
Data Analysis & Mapping: Collaborate with clients to review legacy data structures and
work with business analysts to map data from legacy systems to Salesforce objects.
Develop detailed documentation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Data Cleansing: Lead data quality assessments and guide clients on best practices for
data enrichment, standardization, and de-duplication. Use automated scripts and data
tools to optimize data for migration.
Data Loading: Use Salesforce tools (e.g., Data Loader, Bulk API) to load data efficiently
into Salesforce, manage large datasets, and perform post-load validation through sample
checks and testing.
Testing & Validation: Work with QA teams to define and execute data validation
processes, troubleshoot data issues, and collaborate with Salesforce developers to
ensure smooth data loads.
Customer Collaboration & Support: Act as the primary contact for data issues, align
data migration tasks with project goals, and offer post-migration support. Ensure smooth
customer transitions and address any lingering data issues.
Documentation & Reporting: Create comprehensive migration documentation and
provide regular updates to stakeholders. Develop audit trails and ensure compliance with
regulatory standards in the Insurtech industry.
Your experience:
Experience: 5+ years in data conversion, migration, or integration roles with a focus on
Salesforce implementations. Experience in the Insurtech industry is a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Salesforce architecture, Data Loader, Bulk API, and data
transformation tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend). Strong SQL skills and experience with
scripting languages (e.g., Python).
Project Management & Leadership: Strong project management skills to lead data
migrations, work cross-functionally with teams, and mentor junior members.
Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and experience
with root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex data issues to non-technical
stakeholders and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications: Salesforce certifications (Data Architect or Application
Architect) and experience with ETL tools and data governance in insurance or financial
services.
Structured and well-organized work cadence with comfort tackling complexity and
ambiguity
A strong track record of problem solving and a "roll up your sleeves" mentality
