What You'll Do
Our team is a blend of data science and analytical engineering, and in this role, you'll collaborate closely with the analytics engineer. As a data scientist, you will work on in-database analytics functions, ensuring high accuracy, efficient workload management, and supporting proof-of-concept (POC) use cases. Meanwhile, you will leverage cutting-edge AI technologies to create solutions and develop scalable models that integrate into Teradata’s analytics platform. This position will play a key role in shaping the future of AI-driven applications, such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), recommendation systems, and multimodal solutions across diverse enterprise use cases.
Who You'll Work With
We are a market leader and innovator in cloud analytics and data platforms for AI, specializing in the management of structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data. Our team delivers analytic insights to enterprises through powerful products such as the massively parallel, linearly scalable Teradata Database and best-in-class, high-performance in-database analytics. Our Gen AI product, Vector Store, serves as the backbone for applications like RAG and recommendation systems. This role reports directly to the manager of the ClearScape Analytics team, the core AI product group.
What Makes You a Qualified Candidate
+ Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
+ Experience programming in Python, SQL, or related languages.
+ 2 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
What You'll Bring
+ PhD or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, with focus on GenAI, RAG, vector database, and AI Agents.
+ Experience in information retrieval or Text summarization, Experience in NLP (Natural Language Processing), RAG and Large Language Model (LLM)
+ Experience with training, evaluating, or interpreting large language models or multimodal models.
Pay Rate: $108,600.00 - $135,700.00 - $163,000.00 Annually
