Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Senior Developer with a keen interest in the AI space. To ensure success as a Senior Developer, you should have excellent full stack coding skills, and experience with Python, Django and PostgreSQL. Ultimately, a top-class candidate demonstrates strong dynamic problem solving skills in code that can match the fast-moving pace of innovation associated with AI. While this candidate will start as an independent contributor alongside other developers, there is potential to add direct reports as the team scales. 

Core Responsibilities 

• Contributing Python code to a Django application with standard integrations to core technologies like PostgreSQL and Redis

• Contributing to architectural decisions and tech stack selection

• Reviewing application requirements and interface designs

• Identifying web-based user interactions

• Developing and implementing highly responsive user interface components

• Troubleshooting interface software and debugging application code

• Developing and implementing architecture to support user interface concepts

• Monitoring and improving front-end performance

• Documenting application changes and developing updates

Skills + Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field

• 5+ years of software development experience

• Proven skills with Python, PostgreSQL, and Django or similar languages and frameworks

• Strong problem solving skills in code that can match the fast-moving pace of innovation associated with AI

• Excellent troubleshooting skills

• Strong communication skills

• Nice to have: 

• Experience with DevOps (currently using AWS) 

• Model fine tuning experience

• Experience with AI libraries (e.g. Langchain) or data analysis libraries (e.g. Pandas)
