Position Overview
As the Senior Director of Strategic Planning for Generative AI at Cigna, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's AI-driven initiatives. You will collaborate closely with enterprise architects, engineers, and product managers to develop and execute strategic plans that harness the power of Generative AI to drive innovation and business growth. Your responsibilities will span strategy formulation, operational excellence, and program management, ensuring seamless integration of AI solutions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of Cigna's strategic vision for Generative AI, aligning it with the company's overall business objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including enterprise architects, engineers, and product managers, to identify high-impact opportunities for AI-driven solutions
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive roadmap for Generative AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with Cigna's long-term goals and priorities
- Lead program management of AI initiatives, ensuring they meet defined objectives, timelines, and budgets
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, to ensure effective communication and buy-in for AI initiatives
- Monitor industry trends and best practices in Generative AI, and identify opportunities for Cigna to stay ahead of the curve
- Develop and implement metrics to measure the success and impact of AI initiatives, and use these insights to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications
- 12+ years of relevant experience in strategic planning, program management, or management consulting roles, with a focus on emerging technologies
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision making
- Proven track record of leading enterprise transformation and sustained innovation
- Understanding of Generative AI technologies and their potential applications in healthcare and business operations with a strong desire for continuous learning in this evolving field
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 177,600 - 296,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
