Position Overview:
Sutter Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of State Government Affairs & State Health Policy. In this role, you will develop and implement Sutter’s state policy, advocacy, and regulatory agenda, conduct extensive research, and analyze data to inform policy decisions. Additionally, will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including government officials, advocacy groups, and industry experts, to advocate for and promote our policy initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in policy analysis, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the political landscape.

EDUCATION:
_Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma_
Bachelor’s in Public Policy or related field
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
8 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Professional experience in senior level positions in government relations, public relations, and community relations arena which demonstrates positive professional relationships with local elected and appointed officials.
Must have significant understanding of Federal, State, and Local government policy issues and health care environment.
Must have excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Must have well-developed problem identification, analytical, problem resolution, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
Must have excellent project management, organization, and consulting skills.

Pay Range is $83.00 to $132.80 / hour
_The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package._ __
