About the Role
Our client, a leading global firm in MEP design, consulting, and commissioning, is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in healthcare projects. Based in Jacksonville, FL, you will contribute to the design and engineering of significant healthcare facilities, including both inpatient and outpatient environments. Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will manage and execute key aspects of healthcare design projects, collaborating with clients, contractors, architects, and other team members. Specific responsibilities include:
- Design Standards and Specifications: Establish standards, specifications, and criteria for healthcare projects.
- Interdisciplinary Coordination: Maintain coordination with other trades and project consultants to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Construction Administration: Oversee construction-related documentation, including field reports, RFI responses, bulletins, and addenda.
- Employee Development: Provide periodic evaluations, assist in training sessions, and mentor team members.
- Technical Guidance: Participate in the Technical Leadership Committee and work with the Technical Manager and Chief Engineer to support staff development and uphold technical standards.
- Client Interaction: Represent the engineering team in all client interactions, ensuring alignment with project goals and maintaining open communication.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Experience: 7–15 years of experience in consulting within the MEP industry, with a focus on healthcare facilities design.
- Project Scope: Experience across a range of project types, from single-phase renovations to new construction, and from conceptual design to detailed studies.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical capabilities, with hands-on experience in design, CAD, and Revit software.
- PE License: Required for this role.
- Project Management Skills: Experience managing internal design teams is a plus.
