Job Title: Senior Engineer
Location: New York, NY 1003
Contract Length: 6 Months
Pay Range: $65 - $70/hr
Schedule: Hybrid; 3 days onsite 2 days remote/
Key Qualifications:
Proficient in reviewing and evaluating energy efficiency technologies, particularly custom projects within the C&I program. Confident in decision-making.
Strong technical background in HVAC mechanical systems for buildings.
Extensive understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS).
Experienced with building simulation, energy modeling, and code compliance software.
Bachelor's of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, Industrial, Electrical or Energy Related Degree)
7+ Years of working experience in energy efficiency, engineering projects, and the building engineering industry.
Responsibilities include:
Identifying, examining, assessing, and standardizing energy savings within energy efficiency and demand management programs. You will thoroughly review and evaluate energy efficiency technologies to determine their suitability for our programs and validate project savings calculations provided by PCs/Customers within our service territory. Expertise in this area is crucial to ensure that the selected technologies meet program requirements and contribute to substantial energy savings.
Developing technical documentation, workflow processes, and engineering calculators to expedite and standardize technical reviews and improve on quality of deliverables.
Serving as a technical resource for all functional groups within the department. The role requires active cross-collaboration with other teams, such as program delivery, strategy, project management, marketing, and finance, to creatively assess and develop technical solutions that effectively address their respective needs and contribute to achieving our overall business goals.
Supporting the program management teams in implementing various technologies, codes, and standards relevant to the programs. This involves assisting in the integration and utilization of these technologies, as well as ensuring compliance with applicable local and state codes and standards.
Managing the work queue, coordinating with third-party vendors to ensure timely project completion, and verifying that their desk reviews comply with the program requirements.
Performing other special projects and related assignments as required to support operations and activities as directed by Director, Department Manager, Section or Program Managers.
