Senior Estimator - Weston & Sampson

Weston & Sampson CMR is seeking a Senior Estimator with 7-10 years of experience. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for estimating. bidding, and the coordination of bid documents.









What you’ll do:



+ Work collaboratively with engineers, consultants, architects, and contractors to obtain the more comprehensive estimates


+ Synthesize blueprints, plans, specifications and other bid documents to produce the most comprehensive estimate


+ Build and maintain a functional database of material cost, labor rates, and material lead times


+ Conduct presentations of cost estimates to stakeholders and provide updates throughout the preconstruction period


+ 10 years plus experience estimating on similar projects


+ Build schedules to ensure estimating budgets correctly align with the project durations


+ Maintain a functional knowledge of industry trends and advancements


+ Computer literate and proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access and MS Project


+ Strong written and verbal communication skills


+ Good organizational skills


+ Able to work independently and with others



What you will bring:



+ Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field


+ Working knowledge of estimating software


+ Federal, State and local municipality procurement knowledge


+ Advanced Project Management or Safety training


+ Ability to collaborate and meet deadlines


+ Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
