Senior Financial Analyst- Due Diligence
Location: Fairfax County
Schedule: Hybrid schedule
Compensation: 120,000 - 140,000 + bonus

TalentSource360 is assisting another client in search of a rising Financial Analyst to join their team, providing financial due diligence and underwriting of complex financial deals. As the Financial Due Diligence Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting the evaluation of financial performance, risk, and potential issues within small business targets for their client portfolio. You will be responsible for analyzing financial statements, conducting detailed financial assessments, and assisting in the preparation of due diligence reports for the investment committee. Your work will provide valuable insights that will help the committee make informed investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze historical financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Identify key financial trends, risks, and opportunities by assessing revenue, profitability, and cash flow patterns.
- Assist in the evaluation of financial forecasts and projections to assess their reasonableness and accuracy.
- Participate in the financial due diligence process for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.
- Prepare detailed financial models, including adjustments to EBITDA, working capital, and net debt.
- Support the identification of potential financial risks and areas of concern, such as accounting irregularities, revenue recognition issues, and cost structures.
- Contribute to the preparation of due diligence reports, highlighting key findings, potential risks, and recommendations.
- Assist in the presentation of findings to clients, including preparing supporting documentation and summaries.
- Work closely with other members of the due diligence team, including managers, directors, and senior associates, to ensure comprehensive analysis and reporting.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as tax, legal, and operational due diligence, to provide integrated due diligence services.
- Assist in client meetings and calls to discuss due diligence findings and address client questions.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with clients to facilitate smooth transaction processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- CPA, CFA, or other relevant certification is a plus.
- 4-6 years of experience in financial due diligence, transaction services, corporate finance, commercial lending or related fields.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
