The Role
AXS is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will assist with Financial planning and budget processes, analyze Profit & Loss, develop financial models, assist with the monthly forecast, and perform analysis as needed. You will also provide guidance and assist with the monthly close. A firm grasp of financial planning and analysis is essential for this position.
What Will You Do?
- Conduct complex financial analysis that identify trends and recommendations to help informed decision-making
- Assist business leaders to develop their annual budgets and create monthly forecast
- Support department leads to strategize and oversee their Profit and Loss (P&L) activities through collaboration
- Analyze historical data and incorporate industry trends to predict future revenues and/or expenses
- Evaluate data to help identify financial trends, opportunities, and areas of improvement
- Review and analyze comprehensive financial reports for management, encompassing financial results, key performance indicators (KPIs), and thorough budget variance analysis
- Assist the Sr. Director, FP&A in offering financial insights and analysis to support development of company's long term growth
- Prepare and provide variance explanations and analysis for monthly management P&L review meetings, opportunity to present as needed
- Collaborate closely with the Accounting team to ensure a precise and accurate monthly close
- Act as a resource for departments on transactional inquiries and financial/budget questions that require problem solving and analytics
- Update and publish presentations for Financial Review/Budget meetings
- Ensure financial compliance of policy and procedures as it relates to Invoice/Concur approvals and manage expectations with business unit leads accordingly
What Will You Bring?
- 4- 6 years of related work experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and/or accounting
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in business related field (Accounting or Finance)
- Experience with Planning solution, Oracle (JD Edwards), OneStream and/ or Hubble
- Experience with financial systems and ability to work with large amounts of data
- Working knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, financial modeling and accounting principles
- Advanced Excel, Modeling, and PowerPoint skills and ability to learn required business systems
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
- Able to work independently and complete duties and projects under minimal direct supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Available to work seasonal overtime to support the business needs

Pay Scale: $69,397 - $90,000
