Senior Financial Analyst, Operations & Product Development (OPD) - Amazon

Description Amazon seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member in our Devices finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most innovative and fast growing businesses of Amazon in a role where you will have regular interaction with executives and various business units across the organization. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills, data collection and modeling capabilities, a keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively. The role also requires working with special projects, finance system implementations, regular interaction with various business teams, providing reporting and business support for decision making and ability to influence decisions through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives/scenarios. Key job responsibilities - Presenting financial summaries and business insights to senior management - Developing scalable and efficient financial processes and systems that support the business - Deriving meaningful insights and recommendations from large data sets - Tracking initiatives that span multiple business functions - Leading ad hoc financial analyses and supporting the financial planning process - Coordinating and supporting planning and month-end close processes Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field - 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis - Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis Preferred Qualifications - MBA, or CPA - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market.
