The Senior Financial Planner (Certified Financial Planners - CFPs) partners with high-balance participants (active and retired) to identify their financial goals, analyze their financial needs, and develop recommendations that will help them work towards well defined financial objectives. The Senior Financial Planner manages a practice of clients remotely focused on providing best in class financial planning and guidance. When needed, the Financial Planner supports local Retirement Plans Specialists with plan relationship building though remote and on-site educational presentations for participants.
Ideal candidate will reside in San Francisco, CA.
Essential Functions for this role include:
- Engages clients face-to-face via video chat, balancing inbound and outbound responsibilities to best serve and grow assigned book of business.
- Develops and implements strategic and tactical plans with strong considerations to client challenges.
- Tailor investment strategies for clients, identifying objectives and constraints including liquidity needs, retirement income needs and devise customized financial plans.
- Review client information, including financial statements, risk investment profile and cash requirements.
- Builds and solidifies client relationships pre- and post-retirement with the goal of developing a trusted advisor relationship for all financial planning needs.
- Manages individual relationships with clients across all products and services, focusing on building book of business, strengthening relationships, and growing and retaining assets.
- Identifies client concerns and gathers additional information regarding clients’ current financial situation and potential future needs.
- Drives asset growth, retention, and consolidation of assets, in work-site plan
- Ensures a world class advisory experience as measured by survey scores (NetPromoter)
- Makes referrals to appropriate partners within the organization (i.e. Financial Consultants, Retirement Planning Specialist and Institutional Sales)
- Required designations: Certified Financial Planner (CFP) , FINRA Series 7, 63 and resident life insurance licenses.
If you have the following credentials, we encourage you to apply:
- 5-7 years of Financial Services experience with extensive client interaction. Some sales experience also required. Experience with client relationship
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP), FINRA Series 7, 63 and resident life insurance licenses.
- Results driven, highly motivated self-starter who possesses integrity, a strong work ethic, and a passion for helping participants plan for their financial goals and objectives
- Ability listen to clients’ needs and make decisions/take actions that help participants/retirees achieve their long-term goals
- Knows how to follow the proper risk, supervision and controls guidelines to deliver the best outcomes for participants/retirees
- Self-directed and continuous learner
- Client Relationship Management mastery
- Exceptional investment acumen and knowledge of broader financial planning topics
- Extensive client service experience; managing an ongoing book of business
- Able to adjust style of communication to best connect with others
- Industry expertise in 457, 401, 403b, IRA’s and other qualified retirement plans
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Bi-Lingual Spanish preferred
- Thorough knowledge of MissionSquare Retirement products and services
