Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited 4-year college or university in Computer Science, Engineering/Technology, Environmental Science, Geography, GIS, Management Information Systems or related field; or any 4-year degree from an accredited college or university in combination with a GIS certification.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience as a GIS Analyst, in working with a comprehensive Geographic Information System; or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and ability required to perform the job. Previous municipal work experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
Must possess a Texas driver’s license within the first ninety (90) days of employment and meet the driver safety policy requirements.
Computer Skills: Proficiency with GIS software especially Esri product platform, Relational Database Management System especially SQL databases, geospatial data analysis, programming and scripting, web mapping development, and data collection technology and methods. Knowledge of ArcGIS Server and SDE, ArcGIS Desktop - ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcToolbox. ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and AutoCAD software. Knowledge of Relational Database Management System, especially SQL databases.
Experience with:
ESRI’s comprehensive suite of ArcGIS products including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and/or ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, ArcGIS Field Maps, and ArcGIS Survey123.
Programming & scripting using Python, JavaScript, Arcade, and/or other programming languages, and web applications development.
Autodesk AutoCAD or other CAD software program.
Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), especially MS SQL Server with ArcSDE.
MS Office Suite software and MS Access DBMS.
GPS/GNSS surveying and data collection principles and practices, technology, and software applications especially Trimble GPS/GNSS products, or other GPS/GNSS products.
Knowledge of:
Enterprise Asset Management System (EAM/AMS) and Land Management System (LMS).
MS Power Automate or Integromat or similar, and webhook configuration.
MS Visio program or similar, and MS Project program or similar.
Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop.
