We are searching for a qualified Senior GL Accountant to help keep our finances meticulously correct and powerfully informative. The accountant will have both an immediate and lasting impact on our non-profit company operations, helping us to strategize savings, perform impactful audits, furnish leadership with crucial information, and (ultimately) grow our financial position.
This is an full time on-site position.

- Support the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement close.
- Assist in the preparation of external or internal audit requests and preparation of annual tax filings for accounts payable or non-profit tax reporting
- Prepare and review general ledger account transactions and reconciliations with analysis to ensure the company’s financial records are accurate.
- Provide accounting perspective and assistance on business development projects.
- Identify, implement, and/or support process improvements within the team
- Ad hoc accounting projects as required
- Develop process guides and defined areas to ensure standardized execution of tasks.
- Assist in designing, producing and analyzing monthly financial reports.
- Manage accounting records, including record retention.
- Lead calendar year reporting requirements for team.
- Key participant in the budgeting process and its reporting to management and various boards.
- Administer the general ledger reporting package and provide training when needed.
- Maintain and update the accounting software, finance related software or other electronic processing tools, ensuring data integrity and efficient processing of transactions.
- Track donations, grants, and other forms of funding, ensuring they are used in accordance with donor restrictions and organizational policies
- Manage accounts payable processes and related expenses, ensuring proper coding of revenue and expenses, including bank and credit card reconciliations
- Manage payroll financials processing and related programs to ensure transactions are recorded properly and compliant with agency reporting requirements
- Perform monthly accounting duties and other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience gained through increasingly responsible management positions within a Finance Department.
- Experience in overall business management.
- Expert level Excel knowledge and experience
Preferred Skills
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License.
- Familiarity with HRIS (Paycom),
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including, patience, empathy and compassion.
