Job Type: Full-Time (On-site, 5 days a week)
Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 per year

Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the hotel, including month-end and year-end closing processes, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting. This position will work closely with the Director of Finance and other departments to ensure accuracy, streamline accounting processes, and provide timely financial insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry, with a strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Finance with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare journal entries and accruals for the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Reconcile credit card receipts, bank accounts, and cash balances.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Streamline and improve accounting processes and controls, particularly around purchasing management and related functions.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor internal controls and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Provide support for audits and regulatory reporting as needed.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to provide financial insights and support operational needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, hotel is experience is required
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger processes.
- Experience with month-end and year-end closing, financial statement preparation, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with hotel management systems a requirement).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
