Job Details:
We are seeking an experienced project leader, responsible for leading all facets for IT related projects, from strategic scope, requirements gathering, resource planning, stakeholder coordination, status reporting, risk and issue management, and financial oversight.
This role will be responsible for managing multiple high-impact projects within the IT organization, ensuring successful delivery within defined timelines and budgets, while also leading direct reports and guiding them in the execution of their responsibilities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to tailor project management approaches (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid) to meet the specific needs of each project, considering team capabilities, organizational culture, and stakeholder requirements.
Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Expertise in both traditional Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, or others as appropriate.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and lead teams through complex challenges.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to instill trust and confidence.
- Financial acumen and the ability to manage project budgets effectively.
- Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams, including direct reports.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like JDE E1, Oracle EBS, and Fusion is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Experience with Planview/PPM Pro is preferred is a beneficial.
- Background as a Business/System Analyst or Software Developer/Engineer is valuable, but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Agile Certified Practitioner, PMP, or similar Project Management Certification is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT project manager, with a track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects.
